The bubblegum haired girl squats cautiously down and picks the journal up, flipping it to the first page. She blinks.]}

...What is this?

_{[It looks absolutely like nothing she's ever seen before, which means all her attention is centered around reading the setup. She props the journal on top of the pile of clothing, fingertips grazing the edge of the page and before she's able to flip it, her thumb brushes over the video button. I don't remember buying anything like this. It doesn't even look like anything I've seen back home before.

The experiments are something else. Basically, they use this technology called "shifting" to mess around with us and the village. Sometimes it means changing our appearance, other times they mess with our heads.

Never heard of the saying 'save the best for last'? --Well, at least, I tried. It seems like more people wanted to be the last. [Which she doesn't know how to feel about.]

Yep, they totally are kinda crappy. And yea, there's a library in town. Should be some books there. If not, you could always ask Rydia in the Welcome Center or Raine at the school for more info.
